【 Understanding the 10% Annual Staking ETF in 5 Seconds 】
Haven't you seen staking ETFs often in the media?
For those who don't know much, I've written it really simply, so please read it!! 🥺
1. Injective (@injective) has applied for a staking ETF for INJ.
2. A staking ETF is not just about holding coins; it’s an ETF that allows you to stake your held INJ tokens and earn interest.
3. In the case of previously approved BTC or ETH ETFs, they only hold the physical assets without any staking interest.
4. If the INJ ETF is approved, shareholders can hold INJ while receiving about 10% interest annually.
5. Additionally, up to $300 million could flow in, which is about 17% of the total supply, so the impact is quite significant.
6. However, during the Ethereum ETF discussions, the SEC hinted that staking is a securities transaction, so only the physical assets were approved.
7. In May 2025, the SEC announced that staking itself is not a securities transaction, so I believe the chances of INJ ETF approval are quite high.
8. The final approval decision will be made by March 2026, so if we wait a bit, there might be good news..! 👀
