Get started with Orbit livestream

Go live with Orbit livestream and engage your community in real time. If you are new to Orbit livestream, follow these simple steps to set up your livestream.

Set up your livestream

  1. Enter your livestream access link into a browser.

  2. Sign in to OKX.

  3. In the streaming window, select Set up livestream.

  4. Fill in information about your livestream. Mandatory fields include a thumbnail, a title and at least one content tag for. Thambnails are best viewed in 16:9 ratio.

  1. If you wish to record your livestream, toggle on Record livestream. Set your privacy to Public if you want your recording to be viewable to all Orbit users. Set it to Private if you want it to only be viewable to users with a link. Private recordings will not appear under your past streams.

  2. If you wish to include a Featured token in your livestream, select one from the dropdown menu

  1. Select Create stream key.

Your stream key and stream URL can be found under the streaming window.

  1. Copy the stream key and stream URL, and paste it into your preferred external streaming software. The following screenshots use OBS as an example.

  1. Configure the source of your video and audio.

  2. Preview your livestream on the Orbit livestream.

  3. Start streaming from your external streaming service.

End your livestream

When you are done streaming, you can end your livestream on OKX or your external streaming service.

  1. Select the End stream button above the streaming window.

  1. Note: If you end your livestream on your external streaming service, it will only pause your livestream on Orbit. At any time, if your livestream is paused for 10 minutes, it will automatically end.
